Advancing the Scope of
Atherosclerosis Research with
The Cryptic Masons Chair in
Vascular Biology Research
Because......
- heart disease is the number one killer in the
United States....
- you know someone who's had a heart attack or a
stroke....
- you are committed to improving medicine for
future generations....
And because you care......
the search for a cure is expanding. Atherosclerosis is a vascular
dysfunction related to other vascular diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and
adult respiratory distress syndrome. Recognizing these links, the Cryptic
Masons Medical Research Foundation is expanding its scope of support to fund
research in vascular biology, enabling scientific researchers to:
- unite in their exploration of vascular problems,
and
- increase the likelihood of finding a cure for
atherosclerosis.
Because endowments keep on
giving......
To fund research in vascular biology, the Cryptic Masons
Medical Research Foundation has pledged $1 million to establish an endowed chair
in vascular biology at Indiana University School of Medicine. An endowed
chair is the highest academic honor a faculty member can receive.
The endowed chair holder will be known as the Cryptic
Masons Professor of Vascular Biology Research,
